Bookish Spring Events and More

Spring is just now unfolding in Mountain Maryland, bursting with late blooms and green shoots, as well as a flurry of upcoming events. The Femme Project will be participating in several bookish festivals and art markets as well as tabling at a few community events in the coming months. I hope you'll join me in breaking out of the long winter hibernation and immerse yourself in real life artful, literary, and community building events!

Kensington Day of the Book

11AM - 4PM

This Sunday, the Femme Project will be sharing a booth with author Malcolm Bolivar at the Kensington Day of the Book Festival. Visit me in Booth #116 at the east end of the festival grounds on Howard Avenue in Old Town Kensington, between Armory and Montgomery Avenues. The outdoor festival includes a day of live music, special guest speakers, poetry readings, cookbook demos, and much more. I will selling and signing copies of Madame X Book 1.1, as well as selling select #RespectHerSex and #DontTrumpWomen merchandise to benefit the Women's Health Center of Maryland.

The Kensington Day of the Book Festival is a family friendly street festival, held rain or shine, spanning three blocks of Howard Avenue in the heart of historic Kensington. Come meet authors, poets, literary and community organizations. This is not your average book festival! Now in its 17th year, this festival offers something for everyone! TriState Rollerskate Extravaganza

On Saturday, April 27th, the Femme Project will be tabling with one-of-a-kind merch at the upcoming TriState Rollerskate Extravaganza in Altoona, Pennsylvania. Hosted at SK8-1-4, all are welcome to check out the roller skating scene representing Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and beyond! The event will host skate competitions, vendors and tables with merch and giveaways, and live music. Come out and support the tri-state skate community! Gaithersburg Book Festival

The Femme Project will be participating in this year's Gaithersburg Book Festival, sharing the AV Press booth with author Malcolm Bolivar on Saturday, May 18th. The day long festival is held at Bohrer Park in downtown Gaithersburg, Maryland and attracts hundreds of award-winning and best-selling authors, poets and songwriters to the beautiful park setting. I will selling and signing copies of Madame X Book 1.1, as well as selling select #RespectHerSex and #DontTrumpWomen merchandise to benefit the Women's Health Center of Maryland.

The Femme Project will be one of many fantastic artists, makers, and vendors sharing erotic, kinky, and bespoke items for your pleasure. Cumberland Pride Festival

Pride is coming to Cumberland! The Femme Project will join the celebration in support and allyship of the LGBTQ+ community in Western Maryland as a vendor and Silver Sponsor for the 2024 Cumberland Pride Festival in downtown Cumberland, Maryland. I'll be selling a selection of Pride-themed merchandise, Madame X books, #RespectHerSex goods, and other artful, feminist, and handmade items, as well as offering some free giveaways. And, for 2024, a portion of the proceeds from sales of select merchandise at Pride will be donated to the Women's Health Center of Maryland—a safe and affirming clinic that offers a full range of reproductive and sexual wellness care to the people of Mountain Maryland and beyond.
